Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Welcome by Jack Butler Yeats was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 226,800.00 (€ 266,284.54) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jack Butler Yeats have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Whistle of a Jacket in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,103,750.00 (€ 1,850,462.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Welcome von Jack Butler Yeats wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 226.800,00 (€ 266.284,54) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Butler Yeats auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Whistle of a Jacket im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.103.750,00 (€ 1.850.462,00).
