Die Arbeit Jongensportret (Johan de V.) von Jaap Weijand kam im Juni 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.375,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jaap Weijand auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A still life with red flowers im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.750,00.
