Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 1980 by J. D. 'Okhai Ojeikere was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in November 2018. The price achieved of EUR 2,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by J. D. 'Okhai Ojeikere achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hairstyles Series, 1968-1975 in May 2021 with an auction result of EUR 42,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, 1980 von J. D. 'Okhai Ojeikere kam im November 2018 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von J. D. 'Okhai Ojeikere erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hairstyles Series, 1968-1975 im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.500,00.
