This artwork by J. Alfonso Toft achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2021. In the From Daumier to Olitski: Select Works from The William Louis-Dreyfus Foundation and Family Collections auction, the work The Windmill on the Hill sold for USD 1,008.00 (€ 870.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by J. Alfonso Toft; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Clematis sold at auction in May 2001 with the realized price of GBP 705.00 (€ 1,181.95).

Dieses Kunstwerk von J. Alfonso Toft erzielte im September 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
