Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work Gathering water; and Feeding the hens by Ivan Varichev. It changed hands for a price of GBP 456.00 (€ 676.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Other works by Ivan Varichev have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2006 the work The village shop; and Fetching water was auctioned for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,335.71).

Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gathering water; and Feeding the hens von Ivan Varichev zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 456,00 (€ 676,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Andere Arbeiten von Ivan Varichev konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2006 die Arbeit The village shop; and Fetching water für GBP 900,00 (€ 1.335,71) versteigert.
