Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams in London held the auction From Harunobu to Hasui | Japanese Prints across the centuries, which included the work Tago no yau (Evening Rain at Tago Beach) by Ito Shinsui. The price achieved of GBP 2,560.00 (€ 2,978.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ito Shinsui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Taikyo (Before the mirror [Red geisha)|AID524033] in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 52,920.00 (€ 63,122.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion From Harunobu to Hasui | Japanese Prints across the centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tago no yau (Evening Rain at Tago Beach) von Ito Shinsui zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.560,00 (€ 2.978,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ito Shinsui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Taikyo (Before the mirror [Red geisha)|AID524033] im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.920,00 (€ 63.122,46).
