Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Tradition Travel TransitionJapanese Art across the Centuries, which included the work Showa era (1926-1989), dated 1930 by Ito Shinsui. The price achieved of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,694.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ito Shinsui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Taikyo (Before the mirror [Red geisha)|AID524033] in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 52,920.00 (€ 63,122.46).
