Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Ishiyamadera (Ishiyama Temple) by Ito Shinsui was sold in the Important Japanese Art auction at Christies in September 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,102.96), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ito Shinsui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Taikyo (Before the mirror [Red geisha)|AID524033] in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 52,920.00 (€ 63,122.46).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Ishiyamadera (Ishiyama Temple) von Ito Shinsui wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Important Japanese Art bei Christies versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.102,96) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ito Shinsui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Taikyo (Before the mirror [Red geisha)|AID524033] im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.920,00 (€ 63.122,46).
