Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ito Shinsui could be acquired at Sothebys in London in May 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese Woodblock Prints | Including the Sokolov Collection auction, the work Evening Cool (Suzumi) changed hands for GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,612.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ito Shinsui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Taikyo (Before the mirror [Red geisha)|AID524033] in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 52,920.00 (€ 63,122.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ito Shinsui konnte im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Japanese Woodblock Prints | Including the Sokolov Collection wechselte die Arbeit Evening Cool (Suzumi) für GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.612,64) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ito Shinsui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Taikyo (Before the mirror [Red geisha)|AID524033] im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.920,00 (€ 63.122,46).
