Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Breaking News by Ito Shinsui for GBP 1,134.00 (€ 1,319.44). This price was achieved in the auction Japanese Woodblock Prints | Including the Sokolov Collection at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ito Shinsui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Taikyo (Before the mirror [Red geisha)|AID524033] in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 52,920.00 (€ 63,122.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Breaking News von Ito Shinsui für GBP 1.134,00 (€ 1.319,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Japanese Woodblock Prints | Including the Sokolov Collection bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ito Shinsui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Taikyo (Before the mirror [Red geisha)|AID524033] im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.920,00 (€ 63.122,46).
