The work Carnevale a Venezia by Italico Brass was sold in the 19th Century European Art & Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in January 2009. It achieved a price of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,532.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Admittedly, works by Italico Brass have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le ricamatrici, 1912 in May 2002 with an auction result of EUR 21,080.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Carnevale a Venezia von Italico Brass wurde im Januar 2009 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art & Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.532,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Italico Brass auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le ricamatrici, 1912 im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 21.080,00.
