This artwork by Issy Wood achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November this year. In the 21st Century Evening Sale auction, the work Fanta / car interior sold for USD 277,200.00 (€ 254,125.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Issy Wood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chalet, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 441,000.00 (€ 522,855.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Issy Wood erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 21st Century Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Fanta / car interior für USD 277.200,00 (€ 254.125,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Issy Wood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chalet beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 441.000,00 (€ 522.855,13) versteigert wurde.
