Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Young girl with kimono 1970 ca. by Issei Suda was auctioned at Il Ponte in July 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,100.00 – 1,400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Issei Suda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ume-Matsuri, Ogose, Saitama' in November 2016 with an auction result of EUR 16,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Young girl with kimono 1970 ca. von Issei Suda im Juli 2020 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.100,00 – 1.400,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.000,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Issei Suda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ume-Matsuri, Ogose, Saitama' im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.250,00.
