The work In The Shtetl by Issachar Ber Ryback was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2012. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,375.70) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Issachar Ber Ryback achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pogrom in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 102,000.00 (€ 151,473.19).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit In The Shtetl von Issachar Ber Ryback wurde im Dezember 2012 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.375,70) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Issachar Ber Ryback erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pogrom im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.000,00 (€ 151.473,19).
