The work The Conductor by Ismail Awi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The result of HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,834.72) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ismail Awi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wake Up, Sleepy Head! in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,890.22).

Die Arbeit The Conductor von Ismail Awi wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.834,72) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 35.000,00 – 55.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ismail Awi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wake Up, Sleepy Head! im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.890,22).
