Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2015 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Reverence Before Knowledge (Kneeling Men): Bookends by Isidore Konti. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,903.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Isidore Konti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Pushing Men': A Pair Of Bookends in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,468.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reverence Before Knowledge (Kneeling Men): Bookends von Isidore Konti zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.903,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isidore Konti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Pushing Men': A Pair Of Bookends im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.468,77).
