Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Pushing Men: A Pair of Bookends' by Isidore Konti was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in September 2010. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,595.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isidore Konti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Pushing Men': A Pair Of Bookends, which sold at auction in February 2013 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,468.77).
