Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work 'Orpheus' by Isidore Konti. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,760.00 (€ 4,306.86), 15% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isidore Konti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Pushing Men': A Pair Of Bookends, which sold at auction in February 2013 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,468.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Orpheus' von Isidore Konti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.760,00 (€ 4.306,86) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Isidore Konti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Pushing Men': A Pair Of Bookends beobachtet, die im Februar 2013 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.468,77) versteigert wurde.
