Die Arbeit Retour au pesage (Return to the enclosure) von Isidore-Jules Bonheur kam im Dezember 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 26.400,00 (€ 22.293,53) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isidore-Jules Bonheur auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Steeplechase im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.000,00 (€ 141.867,93).
