Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Ishikawa Toraji was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,575.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ishikawa Toraji achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rajo jusshu (Ten female nudes) in March 2001 with an auction result of USD 16,450.00 (€ 18,705.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Ishikawa Toraji kam im November 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.575,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ishikawa Toraji erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rajo jusshu (Ten female nudes) im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.450,00 (€ 18.705,94).
