Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Ishikawa Toraji was sold in the The Bob Moore Collection of Japanese Art and Design auction at Christies in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,750.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ishikawa Toraji achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rajo jusshu (Ten female nudes) in March 2001 with an auction result of USD 16,450.00 (€ 18,705.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Ishikawa Toraji wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion The Bob Moore Collection of Japanese Art and Design bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.750,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ishikawa Toraji erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rajo jusshu (Ten female nudes) im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.450,00 (€ 18.705,94).
