Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Comb by Isamu Noguchi was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,290,000.00 (€ 1,142,907.77). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isamu Noguchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Garden Elements, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 4,727,500.00 (€ 4,207,458.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Comb von Isamu Noguchi kam im November 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.290.000,00 (€ 1.142.907,77) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Isamu Noguchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Garden Elements beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 4.727.500,00 (€ 4.207.458,17) versteigert wurde.
