However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isaack Luttichuys - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of possibly the Stadholder of Friesland and Groningen Willem Frederik van Nasau Dietz (1613-1664), half-length, in armour with a white collar and a purple velvet cloak over his right arm, standing behind a table with a red and white feathere, which sold at auction in December 2011 for EUR 205,000.00
