The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,785.17) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isaack Luttichuys have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of possibly the Stadholder of Friesland and Groningen Willem Frederik van Nasau Dietz (1613-1664), half-length, in armour with a white collar and a purple velvet cloak over his right arm, standing behind a table with a red and white feathere in December 2011 with an auction result of EUR 205,000.00.
