Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Isaac Israëls could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale auction, the work Javanese Dancer changed hands for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 52,042.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isaac Israëls have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Raden Mas Jodjana in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 4,325,000.00 (€ 494,995.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Isaac Israëls konnte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Javanese Dancer für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 52.042,64) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isaac Israëls auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Raden Mas Jodjana im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.325.000,00 (€ 494.995,07).
