In October this year Christies in New York held the auction Made in Holland: Celebrating 50 Years of Christie’s Amsterdam, which included the work A young lady reading in the Jardin des Tuileries, Paris by Isaac Israëls. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 113,400.00 42% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Isaac Israëls have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Raden Mas Jodjana in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 4,325,000.00 (€ 494,995.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Made in Holland: Celebrating 50 Years of Christie’s Amsterdam durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young lady reading in the Jardin des Tuileries, Paris von Isaac Israëls zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 113.400,00 und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isaac Israëls auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Raden Mas Jodjana im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.325.000,00 (€ 494.995,07).
