Auction result well in line with expectations
The work At the Dressmaker's by Isaac Israëls was sold in the European & British Art, Part I auction at Sothebys in London in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 107,100.00 (€ 127,896.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isaac Israëls - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Raden Mas Jodjana, which sold at auction in May 2019 for HKD 4,325,000.00 (€ 494,995.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit At the Dressmaker's von Isaac Israëls wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion European & British Art, Part I bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 107.100,00 (€ 127.896,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Isaac Israëls mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Raden Mas Jodjana beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für HKD 4.325.000,00 (€ 494.995,07) versteigert wurde.
