In the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction, the work A Mediterranean Harbour With Classical Ruins, A Figure Of Neptune And A Fountain In The Foreground sold for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 42,099.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isaac de Moucheron have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of the Vatican, Rome, with the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica, from the Janiculum in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 215,579.01).
