This artwork by Isa Genzken achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2020. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Weltempfänger (World Receiver) sold for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 58,296.77) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isa Genzken achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fenster in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 677,000.00 (€ 946,953.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Isa Genzken erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Weltempfänger (World Receiver) für GBP 52.500,00 (€ 58.296,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isa Genzken erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fenster im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 677.000,00 (€ 946.953,90).
