Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Harbor Scene) by Irving Ramsay Wiles was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,609.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Irving Ramsay Wiles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Corner Table in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 635,000.00 (€ 488,912.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Harbor Scene) von Irving Ramsay Wiles wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.609,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Irving Ramsay Wiles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Corner Table im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 635.000,00 (€ 488.912,84).
