Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Rhododendrons by Irving Ramsay Wiles for USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,053.91). This price was achieved in the auction American Art Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Irving Ramsay Wiles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Corner Table in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 635,000.00 (€ 488,912.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Rhododendrons von Irving Ramsay Wiles für USD 5.625,00 (€ 5.053,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art Online bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Irving Ramsay Wiles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Corner Table im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 635.000,00 (€ 488.912,84).
