Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Memories by Irving Ramsay Wiles was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 106,250.00 (€ 89,300.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Irving Ramsay Wiles have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Corner Table in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 635,000.00 (€ 488,912.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Memories von Irving Ramsay Wiles kam im November 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 89.300,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Irving Ramsay Wiles auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Corner Table im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 635.000,00 (€ 488.912,84).
