The work Outward Bound by Irving Ramsay Wiles was sold in the Important American Paintings, Drawings And Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in May 2008. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 85,000.00 (€ 54,627.25). Admittedly, works by Irving Ramsay Wiles have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Corner Table in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 635,000.00 (€ 488,912.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Outward Bound von Irving Ramsay Wiles wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings And Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 85.000,00 (€ 54.627,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Irving Ramsay Wiles auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Corner Table im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 635.000,00 (€ 488.912,84).
