This artwork by Irving Ramsay Wiles achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2009. In the American Paintings auction, the work Reading In The Garden sold for USD 56,250.00 (€ 42,417.62) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Irving Ramsay Wiles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Corner Table in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 635,000.00 (€ 488,912.84).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Irving Ramsay Wiles erzielte im März 2009 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings wurde die Arbeit Reading In The Garden für USD 56.250,00 (€ 42.417,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Irving Ramsay Wiles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Corner Table im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 635.000,00 (€ 488.912,84).
