Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Fish Mongers' Wagons, Riverhead, Long Island And Landscape, Riverhead, Long Island: A Double-Sided Drawing by Irving Ramsay Wiles. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,438.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Irving Ramsay Wiles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Corner Table in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 635,000.00 (€ 488,912.84).

Im September 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fish Mongers' Wagons, Riverhead, Long Island And Landscape, Riverhead, Long Island: A Double-Sided Drawing von Irving Ramsay Wiles zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.438,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Irving Ramsay Wiles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Corner Table im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 635.000,00 (€ 488.912,84).
