The work Gaze Series No. 55 by Irfan Onurmen was sold in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in London in October last year. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,678.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Irfan Onurmen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2009 the work Soldier'S Portrait (From The New Baghdad Museum Installation) was auctioned for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,175.25).
