Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Irene Rice Pereira was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,877.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Irene Rice Pereira have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Generator) in May last year with an auction result of USD 60,480.00 (€ 56,360.08).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Irene Rice Pereira wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.877,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Irene Rice Pereira auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Generator) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.480,00 (€ 56.360,08).
