This artwork by Ioki Bunsai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in March last year. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Nikko sold for USD 5,355.00 (€ 4,827.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ioki Bunsai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nikko Toshogu Honden, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 11,475.00 (€ 10,344.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ioki Bunsai erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art wurde die Arbeit Nikko für USD 5.355,00 (€ 4.827,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ioki Bunsai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nikko Toshogu Honden beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 11.475,00 (€ 10.344,36) versteigert wurde.
