Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Waves At Midnight by Inka Essenhigh was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in June 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 14,375.00 (€ 16,246.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Inka Essenhigh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Adoration in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 132,000.00 (€ 106,891.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Waves At Midnight von Inka Essenhigh wurde im Juni 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 14.375,00 (€ 16.246,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Inka Essenhigh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Adoration im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 132.000,00 (€ 106.891,25).
