This artwork by Inka Essenhigh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September 2018. In the New Now auction, the work Spring Bar Scene sold for USD 43,750.00 (€ 37,644.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Inka Essenhigh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Adoration, which sold at auction in May 2005 for USD 132,000.00 (€ 106,891.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Inka Essenhigh erzielte im September 2018 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Spring Bar Scene für USD 43.750,00 (€ 37.644,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Inka Essenhigh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Adoration beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für USD 132.000,00 (€ 106.891,25) versteigert wurde.
