Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Braille, 1930 by Imogen Cunningham was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in October last year. The price achieved of USD 5,292.00 (€ 5,327.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Imogen Cunningham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calla in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 312,472.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Braille, 1930 von Imogen Cunningham wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.292,00 (€ 5.327,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Imogen Cunningham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calla im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 312.472,10).
