A top price for Imogen Cunningham - as previously expected
The work Calla by Imogen Cunningham was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2019. The auction ended at the price of USD 350,000.00 (€ 312,472.10), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calla is the most expensive artwork by Imogen Cunningham that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Calla von Imogen Cunningham kam im April 2019 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 312.472,10) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calla das teuerste Kunstwerk von Imogen Cunningham, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
