Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Made in CaliforniaPhotographs, which included the work The Coffee Gallery, San Francisco by Imogen Cunningham. The price achieved of USD 1,216.00 (€ 1,099.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Imogen Cunningham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calla in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 312,472.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Made in CaliforniaPhotographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Coffee Gallery, San Francisco von Imogen Cunningham zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.216,00 (€ 1.099,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Imogen Cunningham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calla im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 312.472,10).
