Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Russian North by Ilya Sergeevich Glazunov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,876.15). Admittedly, works by Ilya Sergeevich Glazunov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Russian Icarus in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,836.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Russian North von Ilya Sergeevich Glazunov im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.876,15) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ilya Sergeevich Glazunov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Russian Icarus im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.200,00 (€ 45.836,74).
