In June 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings Day Sale, which included the work The Ravine by Ilya Nikolaevich Zankovsky. The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,189.42) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ilya Nikolaevich Zankovsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Mountainous Landscape With Travellers By A Stream in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,555.47).

Im Juni 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Ravine von Ilya Nikolaevich Zankovsky zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.189,42) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ilya Nikolaevich Zankovsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Mountainous Landscape With Travellers By A Stream im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.555,47).
