Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Mountains At Sunset by Ilya Nikolaevich Zankovsky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,371.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ilya Nikolaevich Zankovsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mountainous Landscape With Travellers By A Stream in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,555.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Mountains At Sunset von Ilya Nikolaevich Zankovsky im Juni 2011 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.371,69) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ilya Nikolaevich Zankovsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Mountainous Landscape With Travellers By A Stream im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.555,47).
