In June 2008 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work The Georgian military road by Ilya Nikolaevich Zankovsky. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 31,250.00 (€ 39,501.05), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ilya Nikolaevich Zankovsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Mountainous Landscape With Travellers By A Stream, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,555.47).

Im Juni 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Georgian military road von Ilya Nikolaevich Zankovsky zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 39.501,05) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ilya Nikolaevich Zankovsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Mountainous Landscape With Travellers By A Stream beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.555,47) versteigert wurde.
