In the RUSSIAN PICTURES auction, the work Russian beauty; and Mother (illustrated) sold for GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,681.32) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ilya Sergeevich Glazunov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Russian Icarus sold at auction in November 2005 with the realized price of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,836.74).
