The price achieved of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,577.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ilya Sergeevich Glazunov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Russian Icarus in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,836.74).
