Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Double Santa Clauses From 'Where Time Has Vanished', 1972 by Ikko Narahara for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,552.92). This price was achieved in the auction The Yamakawa Collection of Twentieth Century Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ikko Narahara achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shadow of car driving through desert, Arizona from Where Time Has Vanished in November this year with an auction result of GBP 27,940.00 (€ 32,376.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Double Santa Clauses From 'Where Time Has Vanished', 1972 von Ikko Narahara für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.552,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Yamakawa Collection of Twentieth Century Photographs bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ikko Narahara erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shadow of car driving through desert, Arizona from Where Time Has Vanished im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.940,00 (€ 32.376,38).
